Elon Musk Welcomes 14th Child, 4th with Shivon Zilis
Elon Musk's family continues to expand.
The Tesla CEO recently confirmed the birth of another child, marking his fourth with tech executive Shivon Zilis. The couple, who already share three-year-old twins Strider and Azure, as well as one-year-old Arcadia, announced the arrival of their son, Seldon Lycurgus, on February 28.
Zilis shared the news on social media, writing, "Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much." Musk responded with a heart emoji.
Earlier that day, Zilis celebrated Arcadia’s first birthday with a heartfelt tribute, saying, "Happy 1st birthday, darling Arcadia. Mommy loves you with all her heart."
The couple first welcomed their twins, Strider and Azure, through IVF in 2021, and later confirmed the birth of their third child, Arcadia, in June 2024. Musk explained to Page Six at the time that while they didn't issue a public press release, everyone close to them knew about the baby.
Zilis, an AI expert who works at Musk's Neuralink, shared why she chose to have children with him. "He really wants smart people to have kids, so he encouraged me to," Zilis said in Walter Isaacson's 2023 biography of Musk. "If the choice is between an anonymous sperm donor or doing it with the person you admire most in the world, for me, that was a pretty easy decision." She continued, "I can’t possibly think of genes I would prefer for my children."
In other family news, author Ashley St. Clair, who is said to have had Musk’s 13th child five months ago, recently filed legal paperwork to establish Musk as the legal father and seek sole custody. On February 14, St. Clair confirmed the birth on social media, writing, "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that the tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause." She added that she plans to keep her child in a "normal and safe environment" and urged the media to respect the child's privacy.
